"Ready to Go" Teaching and Learning Resources with Answers and Supplementary Notes

I have enjoyed teaching  ‘A’ Level Music for nearly 30 years.  One of my favourite parts of the course is the history paper, despite the fact that it can be time consuming and challenging to prepare resources that are engaging, accessible and yet sufficiently detailed. With you in mind…

  • Every resource comes with answers that you can use yourself or give to your students to mark their own work.
  • Most resources come with additional notes: ideas for how you might integrate the material into your teaching and/or study tips for your students.
  • Many resources are grouped into “Teaching Packs” and “Learning Bundles”  where one activity leads logically to the next.*
  • You will also find some “specimen lessons”  with a plan, aims and objectives and all resources including activities to set for homework.

* Alternatively, you have the option to purchase resources individually.

Music History, Analysis and Theory Made Accessible

For students....

If you don't understand it, you'll struggle to remember it! So....

  • stepped activities that lead you through challenging concepts
  • an approach that promotes in-depth and lasting knowledge and understanding of the set works
  • a focus on how we translate what we understand into writing about music.
  • materials that feel relevant and enjoyable
  • answer booklets for you to check your answers, with supplementary study tips and explanations.
