Description

This learning bundle is ideal for those studying AOS 5 in the OCR A Level Music qualification (Specification H543). The four booklets in this pack can be completed as stand-alone activities. However, together, and in the order presented, they form a coherent course of study that will create a firm foundation as your students acquaint themselves with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.  This introductory learning bundle not only encourages your students to immerse themselves in the sound of this unusual and evocative work but also facilitates a broad understanding of where Mussorgsky’s musical choices “sit” in relation to the way that musical language functions, as well as the historical and cultural backdrop against which Pictures was written.  (A more detailed description and rationale behind the four resources in this bundle, as well as details of how to purchase individually, is available here.)
